In Brandon’s many years of experience doing debt consolidation loans he realized the most common mistake people make when refinancing their mortgage; they very rarely take the monthly savings from the refinance and put it to good use. The best way to utilize the monthly savings is to accelerate the payoff of their remaining debts (if necessary) and preparing for upcoming expenses like college, retirement, vacations, new vehicles, etc. By looking at all possibilities in the present AND future, we can help create a solid long-term financial plan for anyone, all while avoiding future credit card use and financial strife (God forbid).
That might seem obvious to some, but it’s not as easy as it may sound, and even harder to do efficiently while getting the biggest bang for your buck!! If you don’t implement certain strategies; at certain times, in a certain order, then it doesn’t work very well and it can become daunting to say the least. That’s why Brandon wanted to simplify things for people as he knows this is true for so many, and basically got tired of seeing his past clients make the same mistakes over-and-over again early on in his career. Another one of Brandon's favorite quotes by Albert Einstein was his interpretation of compound interest working for us or against us, as he stated, "Those who understand compound interest are destined to receive it, and those who don't, are doomed to pay it." If you are paying more interest (debt) than you are receiving (retirement/investments) you are taking one step forward and two steps back!
